I’ve read from tons of websites that canker sores are not from the herpes virus and are idiopathic. Is my doctor just confusing them with cold sores which is caused by the herpes simplex virus or does valtrex actually help cure canker sores? Its been about 2 days and I haven’t noticed any relief with it

   The herpy family just like chicken pox and cole sores heard of someone who got the herpy.
