Need tons of water for canker sore to heal?

Flying bear asked:

I suffer from canker sore quite often (at least once every other months) and for as long as I can remember. From my personal experience, canker sores heal by absorbing tons of water – I drink twice as much and don’t go to bathroom as often. I don’t know where all the water went. Does anybody have similar experience or know any scientific support

Salt water solutions can help, but as far as drinking a lot of water and not relieving yourself, that sounds like something you might want to talk to your Dr. about depending on your age. Retaining water could be a serious symtom.
