Home Remidies to heal a Canker sore (faster) Plz help?

My little bro went to the dentist and when we came home he had a sore on his downer lip on the right and it looks really bad it really big we complained to the dentist that did it and he didnt do nothing we went to the hospital and they said it was a canker sore. How long will it last and how can i reduce the pain and make it go away faster thank-you for all the answer i appreciate it <3 ya's!!!! :)

Don’t eat a lot of salty things…. I put orajel to numb mine and it really worked.
