Does coffee really cause canker sores and if so why?
jha1081 asked:
I’ve read that coffee can cause canker sores. I don’t think it’s the caffeine however because I drink tea and energy drinks and sometimes take a caffeine pill to stay alert at work and I don’t get them from those things. I haven’t drank coffee in a couple of days and the canker sores I had have gone away and no more have come in. I think there must be something in coffee besides caffeine that causes canker sores. Anyone who has any knowledge about this please let me know.

All I can tell you is that I drink decaf coffee all day long and have never had a canker sore in my life.
