I personally think the worst spot for a canker sore is right on the base of your bottom gums…Right where there’s that crease, and if you smile it stretches it out and really really hurts (Got one there right now…=/). I’m just curious, though…What are your opinions on the worst place to get one?

Can a doctor help treat a very painful canker sore in the mouth near the gum? Or will it go away eventually?

I have always gotten canker sores, some worse than others, But the one i have right now is bugging the heck out of me! i stung the heck out of it yesterday with salt and it STILL didnt go away, the day before that i salt water rinsed before bed, and this thing just gets worse, i can still talk but its difficult because sometimes it Hurts so bad.
