Canker Sore Mouth

My wife keeps getting canker sores. Very, very bad ones. We have seen two different dentists, her physician as well a natureopathic (sp) person and no one has any ideas.

What kind of specialist should we try to find, or should we just find yet another dentist and doctor and see what they say??
Funny, no she was tested for all that, and thats not it. No one knows, all they suggested was L-Lysine and that didnt work for very long.

does anybody know any remedy for canker sores? i have one in the inside of bottom lip, and one in the inside of my upper lip. they’re probably caused by my braces. and i’m meeting my dentist on may 5th, but in the meanwhile, do you know of any remedies i can use to reduce the pain. i’m having trouble talking, smiling, brushing, eating, and drinking water. i tried Walgreens Maximum Strength Oral Anaesthetic Paste, and even though it did work, the moment i ate or drank something, the paste wore off. so got any home remedies or over the counter pastes i can use? please help and thanks in advance for all answers.

I’ve read from tons of websites that canker sores are not from the herpes virus and are idiopathic. Is my doctor just confusing them with cold sores which is caused by the herpes simplex virus or does valtrex actually help cure canker sores? Its been about 2 days and I haven’t noticed any relief with it

I know this sounds weird, but when I get canker sores I sometimes get bad earaches. The worse my canker sores, the worse my earaches. I have gotten canker sores on and off for years, ever since I had kids. In the past year though I have been getting the earaches occasionally (only with the sores). My doctor didn’t seem concerned by it. I am just wondering if anyone has similar problems.
