Is it normal to have canker sores 2 (or more) every month? If so, what is the cause of it?

Hello, I am just wondering if it is normal to have as many as 2 to 3 canker sores about once a month? I’ve read that the cause could be stress related — but I’m just wondering if there might be something wrong with my gums? I’m sure its nothing and quite normal, but I was curious so I thought that I would post this here. =] Thank you very much for your time.

Does coffee really cause canker sores and if so why?

I don’t think it’s the caffeine however because I drink tea and energy drinks and sometimes take a caffeine pill to stay alert at work and I don’t get them from those things. I haven’t drank coffee in a couple of days and the canker sores I had have gone away and no more have come in. I think there must be something in coffee besides caffeine that causes canker sores. Anyone who has any knowledge about this please let me know.

Is it safe to use orajel on my mouth sore, when it says for toothaches?
