I think it’s infected, because it fills up with something, and becomes a round, hard ball until it breaks open. It will drain for a couple of days, and then fill up again. It repeats this cycle over and over again, and I’ve had it for more than two weeks. It’s disgusting, and I’m not sure of how to get rid of it. Does anyone know?

Inside my mouth, theres some sort of horizontal cut thats about 1/2 a centimeter long… is this a cold sore? I thought they were only circular. Its kind of whitish-yellowish around the opening of the cut…

It also kills me because its right around the area where the metal of my retainer is, so when i speak or make facial espressions i feel a surge of pain just there. but i know that my retainers not the cause because ive never had something like this before.

What is this? How can I treat it?

I went to the doc 2yrs ago and they said it was a canker sore,that’s what it looks like, but it never hurt and it never went away. I went to an E.N.T. last week, because i just got insurance again, and they said since i’ve had it so long it’s not cancer, but probaly scar tissue. The spot where it’s at makes it impossable for me to bite it, or for it to be rubbing on a tooth. Also, the E.N.T. said if i had noticed it recently he’d be more concerned, but because iv’e had it so long he’s not. They’re going to do a biopsy anyway. First is there anyway it could be cancer and second if not what else could it be.
