I need fast treatment for a canker sore in two days?

I’m meeting someone in the next 2 days and there’s this one large canker sore on my lip that is very obvious to be seen. And it goddamn hurts. It’s been here for almost three days now. I’ve been putting some iodized salt in it (you know, the grainy ones) so it would heal faster. Am I doing the right thing?
