I’m not sure if it is but it feels like a cut and it’s really painful. It’s located on my lip but way up top where the left side of my gums are. Mouth wash is numbing it for a couple of minutes but the pain comes right back. Does anyone know what it is? I looked in the mirror and it looked like it popped open. It hurts to just move my mouth and lips in certain directions.

its probably a canker sore. sometimes cuts become canker sores because bacteria gets in them.
You may have a canker sore if you have:
    * A painful sore or sores inside your mouth – on the tongue, soft palate (the back portion of the roof of your mouth), or inside your cheeks
    * A tingling or burning sensation prior to the appearance of the sores
    * Sores in your mouth that are round, white, or gray in color, with a red edge or border

Try rinsing your mouth in salt water to allow it to heal faster.
Yogert helps to prevent future canker sores.
